Marc Widershien introduces Poplar Editions

Jordan Rich of WBZ-Radio speaks about Poplar Editions |
Poplar Editions was founded
to give voice to those of unusual talent who appear infrequently
in national publications.
There are a number of accomplished poets and authors in America
today who are not widely known, but possess superior talent. A
good press also tries to develop this talent and give it a voice.
That is our goal as well.
Poplar Editions
is not a subsidy or a vanity press. Authors do not pay any fees
either to have their work read or published. This press wishes
to develop an audience through the unique qualities of the work.
We have published Marc
Widershien's
Poems of Survival,
and a CD of the lyrical
memoir, The Life
of all Worlds. In 2007, we will publish The Silver Anthology—a
compilation of writings culled from workshops that were held throughout
New England since the beginning of the decade.
The Lombardy poplar
is our logo whose long shadow shelters us, but also grows to the
heavens.
"Jacob took him rods of fresh poplar . . . ." (Genesis, 30:37) "They . . . burn incense upon the hills under oaks and poplars, because the shadow thereof is good." (Hosea, 4:13)
